We're looking for Backend Engineers to join Spotify's Core Infrastructure team. You'll help build and improve the foundational systems that power Spotify, enabling engineers across the company to deliver reliable and scalable experiences to millions of listeners worldwide.
This team focuses on content delivery management (CDN) and the internal platform that supports it, making it easier for engineers at Spotify to build, scale, and manage global traffic efficiently.
As a Backend Engineer, you'll work with a collaborative team to improve the infrastructure systems that power Spotify's backend. You'll build, operate, and maintain central services with a focus on reliability and scalability. You'll design and develop infrastructure tools and services used by engineering teams across Spotify. You'll work with modern technologies at scale, supporting thousands of developers and over a billion users. You'll contribute to improving system performance, availability, and resilience. You'll take part in an on-call rotation and support the services your team owns.
We're looking for experienced Backend Engineers who are passionate about building reliable systems and improving how they perform over time. You should have strong programming skills in at least one language and be open to learning others. Experience with Java is helpful. You should have experience working with cloud-based environments. You should understand the fundamentals of distributed systems and scalable architecture. You should care about building reliable systems and improving how they perform over time. You should enjoy learning, experimenting, and working with new technologies. You should be comfortable collaborating with others across teams and locations. You should have an interest in networking, media delivery, or CDN systems.
This role is based in London or Stockholm. We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best. There will be some in-person meetings, but you'll still have the flexibility to work from home.
