As the automotive industry shifts towards software-defined vehicles (SDVs), the demands on modern vehicle system development increase significantly. Braking systems evolve into complex mechatronic systems, integrating mechanics, electronics, and software.
We are seeking a Braking Systems Development Engineer to join our team, responsible for system-level development in challenging OEM customer projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architecture of braking systems, including electrical/electronic (E/E), mechanical, and software aspects
- Development and coordination of system concepts and interfaces
- Definition and tracking of system requirements throughout the development process
- Coordination of subsystems, suppliers, and internal development teams
- Ensuring integration into the overall vehicle
- Planning and execution of verification and validation
- Compliance with functional safety, standards, and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Completed degree (university, college, or equivalent) in vehicle technology, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or electrical engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in braking system development at the system level
- Strong understanding of mechatronic systems and vehicle dynamics
- Experience in technical coordination or partial project management, as well as systems engineering and architecture development
- Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262, and V-Model
- Structured, analytical approach to handling complex relationships and high sense of responsibility
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in an international environment
- Very good English language skills; German language skills are advantageous
