Description

In the Financial Analysis & Strategy department, we oversee financial control and plan future business operations.

As a financial professional with a keen eye for numbers and strategic decision-making, we're looking for someone like you!

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute short-term, medium-term, and long-term business planning in close collaboration with department leadership and internal interfaces. This includes active participation in deviation analysis between different planning scenarios, taking into account opportunities and risks (based on income statement and balance sheet positions, particularly accounts receivable).
  • Analyze planning results and discuss with department head, finance director, or management, finalizing financial reporting and timely communication of results.
  • Coordinate and create reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing on the basis of SAP actual data. Prepare and present results for management and other internal interest groups. Analyze deviations from forecasts and budget.
  • Special focus in the context of actual analysis and planning on margin-relevant revenue positions of the bank's receivables portfolio, credit risk provision, and other planning assumptions.
  • Independently prepare closing and planning results for presentations to management, discussing assumptions and results with auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Responsibility in the pricing process within the department, supporting risk management through scenario analysis.
  • Create ad-hoc analyses and participate in projects related to these topics, such as IT projects or implementing new planning approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Completed degree in economics or comparable field, and/or comprehensive knowledge of accounting and basic understanding of processes and structures in the banking and financial services sector.
  • Long-term experience in the financial sector.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex relationships and present findings in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Excellent analytical skills, high level of initiative and flexibility, and confident and convincing appearance.
  • Very good Excel skills and negotiable German and English language skills in writing and speaking.
  • Knowledge of Alteryx, SAP, and Anaplan, or willingness to learn these systems (comprehensive prior knowledge is an advantage).
  • IT affinity and willingness to continuously develop used applications (e.g., automation using PowerBI).
