Director - SAP Finance India Lead

You will lead a team of functional consultants and analysts to ensure that the SAP ecosystem (specifically FICO and S/4HANA Finance) supports the company's financial goals, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

As a key partner to the CFO and IT leadership, you will drive continuous improvement and innovation in financial reporting and processing.

Responsibilities

• Define the multi-year roadmap for SAP Finance, ensuring alignment with global business strategies and the transition to S/4HANA.
• Lead the design of end-to-end financial processes, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Controlling (CO).
• Oversee full-lifecycle SAP implementations, upgrades, and enhancements. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Finance/Accounting departments and the IT organization. Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor and lead a team of 100+ SAP functional analysts and external consultants. Manage resource allocation and performance reviews.
• Ensure the SAP system adheres to internal controls (SOX), local tax regulations, and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
• Proactively identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improve data integrity, and leverage new SAP features (e.g., Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud, Central Finance).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field. An MBA is highly preferred.
• 15+ years of SAP experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management capacity.
• Participation in at least 3 full-lifecycle SAP implementations, preferably including at least one S/4HANA greenfield or brownfield migration.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical executive stakeholders.
