This role is for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) who will support the medical and scientific objectives of AstraZeneca's Rare Disease product/s across the product/s life cycle. The MSL will be a field-based scientific expert who communicates accurate and applicable science to Healthcare Practitioners (HCPs) within a geographic area.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in haematology and will be able to build and maintain relationships with HCPs and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). They will also be able to identify and facilitate collaboration opportunities with AstraZeneca.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating territories to profile and identify HCPs to engage and build relationships with
  • Developing clear, succinct, impactful HCP engagement plans, aligned with medical strategic goals and objectives
  • Gathering and disseminating HCP insights as appropriate internally to help inform medical strategy
  • Keeping current with scientific knowledge within assigned products and therapeutic area
  • Supporting scientific exchange of product/disease state with external stakeholders (HCPs) as needed

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in a biological science, clinical experience in a relevant therapeutic area, and excellent communication skills.

This role will involve frequent travel, including overnight and weekend travel, and will require a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
