Description
The Government & Community Relations Specialist will oversee local community relations activities surrounding Honda's state-specific and surrounding regions. The role involves building relationships with community stakeholders and government officials, representing Honda at events, evaluating community engagement and branding opportunities, supporting public policy objectives, and ensuring company leaders remain informed of local matters.
Key accountabilities include:
- Building strong relationships with external community stakeholders across the designated region
- Representing Honda externally at local events and meetings with key external stakeholders
- Monitoring, responding to, and reporting on local economic and community developments and issues
- Collaborating with Engagement, Public Relations, and Corporate Communications teams
- Supporting local Corporate Affairs engagement event staffing as needed
- Providing site tours to stakeholders
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience, 5-7 years of experience in Corporate Affairs, Community Relations, Government Relations, or similar fields, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
