We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, Space to join our team in Costa Mesa, California. As a Senior Systems Engineer, Space, you will help lead the development of technical strategy and roadmapping in conjunction with the Chief Engineer of Space Missions and the Growth/Strategy leads of the Orbital Systems team. Your efforts will focus on leveraging current Anduril technologies and newly developed technologies to serve customer mission areas.
Your responsibilities will include leading complex, integrated systems for on-orbit operations and demonstrations, facilitating effective technical development and integration across company boundaries, and communicating development status to customers. You will also be responsible for technical oversight of all aspects of programme execution from proposals to SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, assembly, qualification testing, and delivery of flight units for launch.
We are looking for someone with advanced experience in architecting, developing, and delivering defence/IC satellite and space hardware and software systems. You should have a thorough understanding of the recent/current technical state of key USSF and IC space systems and mission areas. Experience with spacecraft standards for qualification testing and acceptance testing, as well as US government space mission areas and associated CONOPS, is essential. You should also have strong technical communication skills, providing the ability to deliver critical technical briefings and conclusions to technical leadership, company leadership, and customers.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, Space, you will be working with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to ensure the efficient development and delivery of hardware and software solutions for the customer. You will need to balance development of new capabilities with the incorporation of several pre-existing Anduril capabilities and effectively communicate the development status to customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading US Government contracts, technical experience in space systems, space ground infrastructure, and product development, and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance.
