Description
The Row Crop Planning Full Season Unit Lead is a key role in Bayer's Supply Chain Management department. You will be responsible for leading a team and driving strategic planning for row crop planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function as the Home Leader for the Row Crop Planning Full Season Unit, providing career coaching, mentoring, and long-term development guidance for team members
- Facilitate formal performance management, compensation, and recognition plans, while collaboratively assessing skill development and impact within work teams
- Set the strategic vision for the Unit, connecting daily work to the 5-year framework and broader Bayer mission
- Drive proficiency in the DSO operating model, integrating and catalysing teams across functions to achieve aligned outcomes
- Coach teams to work in 90-day cycles, prioritising high-impact work through dynamic resource flow
- Develop, implement, and improve future year crop plans to enable SBP margin targets exceeding $6B USD
- Ensure alignment and achievement of Inventory to Sales Ratios for the North America Row Crops team, with inventory values of $1.5B USD
- Support and coach team members to achieve Supply and Allocation plans that drive customer satisfaction
- Oversee obsolescence and discard processes to achieve annual margin targets
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field
- Business acumen with a deep understanding of the Row Crop network and its limitations
- Strong communication skills, building trust across broad stakeholder teams and driving enterprise solutions
- Financial acumen and basic finance/accounting/budgeting/cost control/schedule control/inventory management principles
- Coaching skills to motivate and inspire cross-functional work teams and develop Home Team members' skills
- Strategic thinking and ability to co-create outcomes using a creative mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15+ years of functional management experience
