Description

dbt Labs is seeking a Japan Sales Director to manage its customer base in Japan. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and curious member of the Sales team, identifying new business opportunities and growth prospects.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, manage and close your own pipeline of companies that will benefit from the dbt Cloud offering
  • Manage and deepen the dbt Cloud footprint in existing accounts
  • Engage with technology partners and ecosystem service providers
  • Lead and contribute to team projects that develop the sales process
  • Work with product to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap
  • Focus on building and managing pipeline generation

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in technology sales with a proven track record of exceeding annual targets
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and develop them into a consultative sale
  • Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills
  • Diligence and organisational skills to work long, intricate sales cycles
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment
  • Passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the community
  • Experience with SQL or willingness to learn

Compensation: The typical starting salary range for this role is ¥22,000,000-¥28,000,000 JPY.
