Quality Manager

We are seeking a Quality Manager to join our team at Multimatic in Lewisburg, Tennessee. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for liaising with customers and coordinating with staff and internal departments to effectively meet PPAP requirements for the introduction of new products, and subsequent revisions of engineering changes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Directing quality staff to effectively monitor production to consistent required quality levels
• Monitoring and assisting in the dispositioning of quarantined goods
• Keeping management informed of quality product and liaising with all plant departments and customers
• Monitoring plant scrap and rework, customer rejections and returns
• Issuing customer/concern reports to the MDS team in the event of receiving a customer concern
• Stopping further processing and informing the area supervisor or manager responsible when becoming aware that a product or process is in non-conformance
• Ensuring business system is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the current ISO9001/IATF 16949 standards, corporate and customer specific requirements
• Ensuring compliance to all health and safety rules and housekeeping principals
• Preparing reports and key measurable indicators each month
• Attending management report-out meetings on a weekly basis, Production and Fast Response Meetings on a daily basis
• Heading the layered process audits (LPA) process and assuring compliance as required
• Conducting department start-up meetings on a daily basis
• Providing oversight and direction and delegating responsibilities to all members in the department
• Managing performance, communicating job expectations, and conducting employee evaluations
• Coaching, counseling, mentoring, and disciplining employees as necessary
• Working with human resources to interview and select candidates to fill vacancies within the department
• Determining employee development and/or training needs for department members on an annual basis
• Preparing annual training plans and submitting to the human resources department
• Participating in succession planning activities, including career development
• Assisting with job analysis on a yearly basis
• Preparing departmental budgets on an annual basis
• Following all departmental and general procedures where applicable
• Performing other duties as assigned by the General Manager
• Abiding by all company safety rules, responsibilities, policies, and procedures
• Adopting, practicing, and promoting Kaizen principles; participating in Kaizen and GEAR activities
• Handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality at all times
• Observing the Multimatic Environmental Policy and reporting any environmental concerns
