Join our team as a Physical Therapist and play a vital role in helping clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and prevent deformities.
As a Physical Therapist, you will conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions with clients/patients/residents who are affected by injury or disease. You will utilise tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards and document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation.
You will establish therapeutic plans and modify them if necessary, educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home. You will also demonstrate knowledge of and utilise appropriate age-related treatments and evaluations relating to the needs of clients/patients/residents.
This role requires a high level of flexibility with acceptance of variable work schedules/assignments and participation in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society and Sanford Health.
You will be interacting with individuals outside of the department including but not limited to: providers, case managers, third party payers, public organisations, companies/contractual partners, etc. May be asked to supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provide client/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services.
Based on facility needs and assigned locations, may focus on those receiving intervention in the post-acute, long term care and home health care environments.
Experience working with individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders is preferred.
