Project Engineer I - Design

AVL Mobility Technologies, Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Engineer I - Design to join our team. As a Project Engineer I - Design, you will provide technical expertise to cross-functional business development and engineering program team execution activities.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and formulate workflow to meet specified deadlines with minimal supervision
• 3D design and engineering responsibility for components and subsystems
• 2D detailing and preparation of manufacturing documentation
• Use and understand data management tools such as Windchill and Teamcenter
• Resolve engineering and design conflicts
• System management responsibilities
• Support system engineering tasks related to architecture, resolving design constraints, and establishing interfaces

Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or Associate's degree
• Four or more years of design experience
• 3D design experience with HV and/or LV wiring and harnesses
• Formal knowledge of GD&T
• Good CAD skills on one or more systems, preferably Siemens NX
• Fluent in PDM software, preferably Teamcenter
• Analytical thinking, motivated, team player, customer-oriented, and flexible

Physical Requirements:

• Visual requirement: enough to read
• Balance: maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling
• Climbing stairs: ascending or descending stairs
• Light carrying: physically transporting items weighing less than 15 pounds
• Moderate carrying: items weighing 15 to 45 pounds
• Light lifting: raising objects under 15 pounds
• Moderate lifting: objects 15-45 pounds
• Heavy lifting: objects 45 pounds and over
• Sitting, standing, and walking
