Description

Microsoft AI is seeking a Principal Product Marketing Manager to deliver a clear articulation of its product's value in the marketplace. The successful candidate will own the product narrative for MAI Content, working directly with Product and Engineering to explain how and why MAI Content makes product decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the product narrative for MAI Content
  • Work directly with Product and Engineering to explain product decisions, including AI-generated content, Publisher Content Marketplace, monetization approaches, and roadmap tradeoffs
  • Translate internal product logic into clear external-facing narratives for sales, partners, and publishers
  • Articulate MAI Content's AI principles, quality standards, and guardrails
  • Help define and communicate MAI's principles for AI-generated content
  • Partner closely with Product and Policy to ensure external messaging reflects how systems actually work
  • Serve as a steward for clarity in areas where AI behavior, evaluation, or tradeoffs are non-obvious
  • Define audiences, formats, and ecosystems globally
  • Partner deeply with Sales on positioning and revenue growth
  • Work with Sales to define new brand and product positioning
  • Translate product capabilities into sales-ready narratives that support revenue growth
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to Sales leadership on how MAI offerings should be framed in market
  • Shape MAI Content's internal and external communications channels

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
  • OR equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Strategy, or adjacent roles at scale
  • Experience working on platforms, ecosystems, or AI-driven products
  • Proven ability to translate complex product or technical concepts into clear, persuasive narratives
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with publishers, creators, or advertising-adjacent ecosystems

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 – $251,900 per year.
