We are seeking an experienced Systems Development Engineer - Steering Systems (Steer-by-Wire / Rear Wheel Steering) to join our team. The successful candidate will actively further develop these technologies and play a key role in their implementation in exciting customer projects.
Job Summary: As a Systems Development Engineer, you will work on the development of steering functions and system architectures for Steer-by-Wire and rear-wheel steering. You will define functional and safety concepts, create and maintain system models and requirements, integrate sensors, actuators, and control devices into the vehicle, and take responsibility for system design, performance, and safety concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop steering functions and system architectures for Steer-by-Wire and rear-wheel steering
- Define functional and safety concepts
- Create and maintain system models and requirements
- Integrate sensors, actuators, and control devices into the vehicle
- Take responsibility for system design, performance, and safety concepts
- Plan and conduct simulations, tests, and validation (SiL/HiL/Vehicle)
- Coordinate and control development tasks
Requirements:
- Completed degree (university, college, or equivalent) in vehicle technology, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in the development of steering systems or comparable driving dynamics systems
- Experience in technical leadership and control of development
- Knowledge of Steer-by-Wire, RWS, or active steering systems is beneficial
- Very good understanding of driving dynamics and control systems, and functional safety (ISO 26262)
- Experience with modelling tools and systems engineering methods
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills for handling complex system relationships
- High sense of responsibility
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in an international environment
- Very good English language skills, German language skills are beneficial
