Description
We're looking for a talented Forward Deployed Software Engineer to join our team in Paris. As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer, you will work directly with government customers to quickly understand their greatest problems and design and implement solutions to use data against them. Our customers rely on Palantir's platforms for some of their most critical operations, and projects often start with an open-ended question like 'Why are we delaying so many flights?' or 'How can we better identify instances of money laundering?'
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with government customers to quickly understand their greatest problems and design and implement solutions to use data against them
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure successful project outcomes
- Participate in the development of new features and products to expand Palantir's offerings
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to bring innovative ideas back to the team
Requirements:
- Solid experience in engineering, preferably in areas such as computer science, mathematics, software engineering, and physics
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to solve complex technical problems related to data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools
- Experience or interest in working with and using large datasets to solve business-critical problems
- Excellent coding skills with proven expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams and work in a fast-paced environment with dynamic objectives and user iterations
- Demonstrated ability to learn continuously, work independently, and take initiative with minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed, with a preference for 25-50% travel time, although requirements may vary depending on the team and location
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluency in French
