People Business Partner

We are looking for a People Business Partner to join our People team in Costa Mesa, CA. As a People Business Partner, you will partner with leadership and teams from across the business to build a high-performing organization. You will be responsible for thinking strategically and providing daily support across all levels of engineering teams. The role involves partnering with our engineering teams to enhance talent development and performance at all levels of the team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Serving as a strategic thought partner to business owners on people-related strategies and employee engagements
• Collaborating with senior leadership to build, develop, and execute people strategies through our next iteration of anticipated growth
• Coaching and advising for best practices within the team
• Developing deep relationships and cultivating trust with all parts of the teams you're supporting

Employee Relations:

• Providing guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
• Providing HR policy guidance and interpretation
• Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues. Conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations
• Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention

Organizational Development:

• Autonomously leading the design, implementation, and iteration of new people programs, as well as assessing and improving current people programs
• Helping build and improve processes in a dynamic and high-growth phase
• Leading high-value talent calibrations and compensation planning
• Utilizing people metrics to drive key insights and decisions around growth and retention

Requirements:

• 3+ years of HR Business Partner experience, preferably with engineering client groups
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
• Experience across multiple HR/People channels such as compensation & benefits, compliance, employee relations, and learning and development
• Thriving in fast-paced, high-pressure, outcome-oriented environments
• Clear, empathetic, and effective communication
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of emotional intelligence
• Data-driven and detail-oriented

Salary: $129,000 - $171,000 USD
