Mechanical Designer

Anduril's Engineering Team is seeking a Mechanical Designer to lead initiatives in hardware product development. You will take full ownership of Engineering Documentation and mechanical drafting for multiple hardware products. Your responsibilities will encompass designing and documenting Electrical and Mechanical components within assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation and maintenance of detailed Bills of Materials for hardware products, Engineering Change Notice documentation, and traceability of design changes.
• Develop detailed dimensional drawings for mechanical, electrical, and optical components to industry standards.
• Conduct tolerance build-up analysis and create GD&T drawings.
• Serve as the on-site expert on Teamcenter, guiding stakeholders on best practices.
• Oversee maintenance and design changes on existing hardware products, ensuring thorough documentation of changes.
• Drive establishment of the Product Lifecycle framework, including engineering design release workflows and data models.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in detailed CAD drafting of complex mechanical systems.
• Prior experience using Siemens NX and Team Center or other CAD tools.
• Knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5.
• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where products are manufactured at scale.
• Extensive knowledge of standard mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes.
• 5+ years of experience maintaining and enhancing a Product Lifecycle Management system.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

• Preference for Teamcenter experience.
• Familiarity with optical components.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of standard manufacturing processes.
