Ford's Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) team is charged with delivering the company's vision of a fully electric transportation future. Responsibilities

  • Develop Electrified Powertrain Control System work products that coordinate actions and functions between modules and subsystems to meet vehicle level and feature attributes
  • Perform system level testing in vehicle, on breadboard or using software/hardware in the loop
  • Analyze vehicle CAN communication data and ECU diagnostics
  • Submit CAN Network Interface Design (NID) requests to identify CAN signals transmitted and received by the Hybrid Powertrain Control Modules (HPCM)
  • Support functional safety tasks where necessary
  • Support/drive control system quality/field issue root cause investigation and issue resolution
  • Review software implementation code

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or mechanical engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • 3+ years' experience in control system design or calibration
  • 3+ years' experience with vehicle systems and/or vehicle level attributes
  • 3+ years' experience in powertrain systems, components, and electrified vehicles
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering
  • Troubleshooting experience with mechanical, electromechanical, and software systems
  • Ability to manage/resolve urgent launch/quality concerns
  • Strong leadership skills, passion for quality, passion to improve customer satisfaction
  • Effective ability to explain technical details and gain alignment and consensus on solutions
  • Understanding of programming languages and tools (C, Matlab, Simulink, etc.)
  • Experience with data recording tools (ATI, CANalyzer)

Salary and Benefits
