Description
This is a Project Manager role for Special Projects – Transmission Line Design in Atlanta. The position will be based out of General Services HQ in Forest Park, GA (Metro Atlanta) and will require a mixture of both field and office work.
The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil), Engineering Technology, or relevant technical degree, or significant experience in transmission line design. They will also have thorough knowledge of transmission line design practices, including the use of PLS CADD, and experience in managing and scheduling large complex engineering projects.
Responsibilities will include leading design projects with atypical scope or complexity, mentoring and training junior engineers, coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders, identifying potential technical, environmental, or regulatory risks, tracking timelines and budgets, providing advanced engineering support, identifying inefficiencies in existing design processes, evaluating and selecting new design tools, software, or methodologies, communicating project progress and technical details to stakeholders, and collecting and analyzing project performance data.
