Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled National Security Policy Lead, Cyber to join our team. As a key member of our National Security Policy team, you will be responsible for developing and leading our external cyber policy strategy across U.S. federal stakeholders, allied governments, and critical infrastructure sector regulators.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and leading our external cyber policy strategy across U.S. federal stakeholders, allied governments, and critical infrastructure sector regulators
- Serving as our day-to-day point of contact for senior cyber policymakers, sector risk management agencies, and allied counterparts on issues at the intersection of frontier AI and cybersecurity
- Shaping our own policies and approaches to mitigating cyber risks involving our products, including offensive cyber misuse, vulnerability discovery and disclosure, and commitments under our Responsible Scaling Policy
- Developing strategies for AI to strengthen the cyber resilience of the United States, allied democracies, and operators of critical infrastructure
- Supporting and promoting collaborations with cyber defenders across the public and private sectors, including on model testing, red teaming, threat intelligence sharing, and defensive deployment of frontier AI
- Collaborating with technical teams, including the Frontier Red Team and Safeguards, to translate cyber threat model research into concrete policy proposals, stakeholder education, and public contributions
- Engaging in thought leadership and planning for the changes that increasingly capable AI may bring to the global cyber landscape, including implications for offense-defense balance, attribution, and norms
- Partnering closely with the Head of National Security Policy, the broader Public Policy team, the public sector go-to-market team, Legal, Communications, Trust and Safety, Product, and Research to ensure coherent execution across cyber workstreams
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in cybersecurity policy, with experience working with U.S. federal stakeholders, allied governments, and critical infrastructure sector regulators. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
We offer a competitive salary range of $295,000-$345,000 USD per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
