A competitive salary and great benefits are offered for this full-time position. The working hours are 08:30 - 17:30, Monday to Friday, and every third Saturday from 09:00 - 12:00.
The role will effectively support the day-to-day operations of the Depot through successful allocation of vehicles to ensure best-in-class service delivery. The role will also ensure all Health and Safety standards are maintained and ensure that environmental and O Licence compliance is maintained. As well as the transport activity, the role will allow hands-on activity to support with Employee Engagement, continuous improvement projects, and covering items such as productivity and quality of service provision.
A well-organised individual with a personable disposition is essential, with admin & call handling experience desirable.
Responsibilities: Manage route efficiency and utilise optimum disposal outlets within the area to ensure effective use of vehicles and facilities. Manage driver availability and coverage in line with legislation and company procedures to ensure that there is suitable coverage at all times. Perform administrative duties, including input of pay and bonus onto the company systems. In addition, accurate input of disposal information. Proactive vehicle management, including liaison with fleet, safe vehicle operations, wheel security, monitor vehicle gross weights. Supervise vehicle availability on a daily basis, ensuring that drivers have completed their checks in accordance with company policy. Contribute towards the ongoing cost control, actively seeking to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs, e.g., running and analysing Depot reports. Ensure all administrative tasks associated with the Dispatch office are completed, including time sheets, tachograph records, payroll records, holiday rotas, resolution of QLS.
