Medical Assistant

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at Kansas City Vascular & Gen Sur in Indep, MO. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our medical staff.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient exams and procedures
• Take and record patients' medical histories, vital signs, and other important information
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures by explaining instructions and answering questions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and handling phone calls

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a medical assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
• Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
