Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

You will own one or more scoped projects end-to-end, with mentor support, over the engagement.

Projects may include:

  • Hull form resistance study: Run parametric resistance analysis on candidate hull variants and deliver a trade space of drag vs. displacement vs. speed.
  • Internal volume and arrangement trade study: Build a volume budget for planned payloads and subsystems and confirm the arrangement fits and the vehicle is hydrostatically supported.
  • Structural scantling analysis: Size primary structure for a defined section of the vehicle to ABS or DNV rules and deliver a midship section drawing.
  • Stability and loading conditions: Develop the equilibrium polygon for a candidate vehicle configuration and deliver surfaced GZ curves and submerged equilibrium polygon.
  • Deployment / recovery system concept design: Design a mechanical and naval-architecture concept for launch and recovery of a subsystem.
  • Propulsion system trade study: Compare propulsion architectures against program mission profiles and deliver a trade matrix.
  • Producibility / manufacturing study: Assess hull fabrication approaches for a defined hull block and deliver a build strategy.

Required qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in naval architecture, marine engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field
  • Coursework or project experience in ship hydrostatics, resistance, structures, or stability
  • Working knowledge of naval-architecture analysis tools
  • Ability to define and deliver a self-contained engineering artifact in 8 weeks with mentor support
  • Hands-on experience building or testing hardware
  • U.S. Person status

Preferred qualifications:
