Description
As a physical therapist at Sanford Health and Good Samaritan Society, you will diagnose and treat individuals with conditions that limit their ability to move and work to improve their quality of life by alleviating pain and improving their physical function.
You will plan, organize and deliver physical therapy programs that help patients recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and prevent deformities.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering physical therapy programs
- Documenting patient information for evaluation
- Educating patients and their family members about treatment plans and self-exercises
- Demonstrating documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meeting all regulatory requirements
- Analyzing and recording the therapeutic progress of patients
- Following guidelines, regulations, standards and safety procedures in the therapy process
Qualifications include:
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
- Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist
- When applicable, may require valid driver's license
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
