As a Cardiac Stress Test Clinician, you will be responsible for the clinical oversight and execution of diagnostic cardiac procedures. This role involves preparing patients for testing, administering pharmacological agents for chemical stress tests, and monitoring hemodynamics during exercise-based protocols.
Key responsibilities include: Conducting Treadmill Stress Tests (TMST), Stress Echocardiograms, and Nuclear Stress Tests (Pharmacological and Exercise). Performing pre-procedure screenings, including 12-lead ECG interpretation, baseline vitals, and medical history review to identify contraindications. Administering stress-inducing agents (e.g., Lexiscan, Dobutamine, Adenosine) via IV, ensuring precise dosage and monitoring for adverse reactions. Acting as a primary responder during adverse cardiac events, utilizing BLS/ACLS skills and clinic emergency equipment (AED/Crash Cart). Maintaining meticulous records of patient hemodynamics, ECG changes, and subjective symptoms throughout the duration of the test.
Requirements include: BLS and ACLS required upon Hire Must hold a current GA (RN) Registered Nurse license or eNLC license required Minimum 1-2 years in a cardiology setting (EP lab, Cath lab, ICU, PACU, or Cardiac rehab) Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
