Description

As a Material Expeditor at Saronic Technologies, you will play a key role in ensuring that materials, parts, and equipment are delivered accurately and on time to support rapid prototype builds, testing cycles, and production runs.

You will work closely with engineering, procurement, logistics, and manufacturing to track, coordinate, and resolve material delivery issues across multiple programs.

Key responsibilities include: Expediting parts and materials from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery in accordance with production and R&D schedules. Collaborating with procurement, vendors, and logistics to resolve supply delays, shortages, and backorders. Monitoring and updating material delivery status in ERP/MRP systems, including tracking numbers and shipping confirmations. Communicating clearly and frequently with internal stakeholders about material availability and potential risks to schedules. Supporting inventory management by coordinating incoming inspections and assisting with material receipts as needed. Identifying and escalating supply chain bottlenecks, proposing corrective actions to prevent future delays. Preparing and maintaining expediting reports, delivery logs, and other documentation for internal tracking and compliance. Visiting local vendors or warehouses when necessary to facilitate urgent pickups or material verification. Ensuring adherence to quality, security, and compliance standards, especially related to defense contracting (e.g., ITAR, DFARS).

Qualifications include: 2+ years of experience in materials expediting, supply chain, logistics, or production planning. Strong understanding of supply chain workflows and manufacturing operations. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar). Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Familiarity with DoD procurement and compliance standards (ITAR, DFARS, etc.). Working knowledge of technical drawings and BOMs. Forklift certification or experience managing physical inventory.

Physical demands include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, occasional standing and walking within the office, manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment, visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports, occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies, and lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally.
