Our Team

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The new team has three locations. The Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Formula 1 factory of Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Audi Motorsport Technology Center, UK, is in its launch phase and growing continuously. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

The position

The position is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).

Your Mission

  • Coordination of the entire development cycle of the internal combustion engine (ICE)
  • Direct reporting line to the department head, including steering and alignment of the development divisions: design, simulation, testing, metallurgy, production, and trackside engineering
  • Ensuring a unified strategy, clear governance, and cross-functional execution of all development activities
  • Definition and management of the complete development roadmap, including consolidation of technical proposals and execution of projects through structured planning, milestone tracking, and risk management
  • Ensuring that the combustion engine meets all performance, reliability, cost, and delivery targets, and that all technical decisions comply with regulations, innovation strategy, and performance requirements
  • Prioritization of development initiatives, allocation of budget and resources, monitoring of KPIs, and acting as the central interface to senior management to ensure transparent and well-informed decision-making
  • Fostering cross-departmental collaboration and optimizing resource utilization

Your Profile

  • At least 5 years of experience in technical project management within a Formula 1 team
  • Knowledge of CAE simulation as well as cross-functional collaboration with design and production teams
  • Familiarity with modern manufacturing methods and tools (e.g., DLMS) and supply-chain management is advantageous
  • Strong teamwork and coordination skills
  • Business-fluent German or English language skills
