Description
As a Customs Senior Associate / Associate Manager at Flexport, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods around the world. Your responsibilities will include acting as the Nominee Broker for our Corporate License application and maintenance, building and maintaining a framework for 100% compliance with ABF and DAFF regulations, and staying up-to-date with new legislation in the region/country.
You will work closely with the Commercial team to attend discovery calls, provide sales support and technical customs advice, and help win new business. You will also provide high-level guidance to clients on complex customs topics and maintain excellent working relationships with clients by providing first-in-class customer service.
In addition, you will manage our Australia customs P&L, help build and optimise Flexport Australia's customs products and services with technology, and partner with the Commercial team to execute daily customs operations.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have 5+ years of current experience in AU Customs Broking (post-qualification), familiarity with Customs product classification, valuation, free trade agreements, and a master of the local tariff, and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
You will also need to have next-level logistical/Customs problem-solving skills, an obsession with client happiness, and a builder's mindset to shape, expand and enhance our capabilities and products for the future.
