This is an onsite role in EA Shanghai Studio where you will report directly to the team Lead Engineer.
Responsibilities
- You will use and enhance existing game engines by developing on top of the current framework, improving functionality and performance.
- You will conduct in-depth research into mobile platform engine architectures, infrastructure, and primary technologies to support cross-platform development.
- You will improve and fine-tune game performance to ensure peak operation across multiple release platforms.
- You will develop new tools and refine existing ones based on our current toolchain to improve development efficiency.
- You will collaborate with game designers and art teams, ensuring that program functionality aligns with design requirements.
- You will help create technical specifications and software architecture documents.
Qualifications
- Over 3 years of experience in game client or engine development.
- Proficiency in C/C++, and programming and debugging skills related to relevant tools. Familiar with C#, Python, MySQL and use P4 or Git in daily development.
- Has development experience using commercial game engines such as Unreal or Unity.
- Experience in engine-related tool development and game engine optimization.
- Experience in Android and iOS platform development and debugging.
- Good at communication and ability to collaborate within a team.
