Description
We are seeking a motivated, operations-oriented individual with a passion for the maritime industry to join our team as a Commissioning Operations Coordinator.
This role is designed for candidates with foundational maritime exposure who are eager to build a career in vessel operations, logistics coordination, and marine support services.
The ideal candidate brings a practical understanding of marine environments, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to support a wide range of operational needs in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Support daily maritime operations, including vessel movements, scheduling, and logistics coordination
- Assist with tracking vessel status, maintenance activities, and operational readiness
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, maintenance, safety, and logistics) to ensure efficient execution of tasks
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and operational documentation
- Assist with planning and execution of vessel mobilizations, demobilizations, and sea trials
- Support procurement and inventory tracking for vessel and operational needs
- Communicate effectively with crew members, vendors, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Provide general administrative and operational support as needed
- Frequent travel with little notice due to operational requirements
Qualifications
- Prior exposure to maritime operations (work experience, internship, or family background in the industry)
- Strong interest in maritime logistics, vessel operations, or marine services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and operational processes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Willingness to take initiative and support multiple teams as needed
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience with vessel operations or marine services
- Internship or work experience in logistics, operations, or maritime support roles
- Familiarity with shipyards, crew boats, or government-related maritime projects
