Description
We are looking for a Procurement Senior Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for managing supplier performance, executing strategic sourcing functions, and meeting category performance targets. You will also be responsible for project implementation, overseeing projects and business plan items, and monitoring progress. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, finance, or a related field, and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in purchasing and/or procurement-related roles. The successful candidate will have basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft suite, familiarity with SAP, Ariba, or major ERP systems, and an understanding of commercial terms and conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing supplier performance, development, risk, and support segmentation
- Executing strategic sourcing functions in alignment with category
- Meeting category performance targets and measures, monitoring progress, and implementing countermeasures when necessary
- Responsible for project implementation and oversight of projects and business plan items, monitors progress, and adjusts direction as needed
- Share ideas, negotiate, collaborate, and build consensus across North America sites
- Apply key customer (upstream, downstream, and end-user) viewpoint in all category activities
- Build a network of productive relationships across AHM/HDMA to achieve category plans, targets, and compliance
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, be able to explain complex data in an understandable manner for a wide range of audiences, and have a strong sense of urgency to meet customer timelines. They will also be able to successfully manage multiple projects and have a strong work ethic.
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the Procurement Senior Specialist will also be responsible for:
- Identifying strategies to support SEQCDM performance target achievement and monitor progress/perform gap analysis
- Identifying the AHM/HDMA business units with which to apply sourcing themes and establish appropriate networks
The Procurement Senior Specialist will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including procurement, supply chain, and operations, to achieve business objectives. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports, and providing regular updates to management.
