  • Translate operational and technical requirements into system designs, balancing immediate delivery with long-term platform health.
  • Develop automation, tools, and workflows that minimise manual effort and ensure safe, repeatable changes.
  • Document technical designs, architectural decisions, and operational procedures to support knowledge sharing and reliable operations.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with production ownership.
  • Expertise designing and operating distributed/cloud systems.
  • Proficiency in Java.
  • Experience with containerized/service-based platforms and production workloads.
  • Experienced with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including EKS, EC2, S3.
  • Experience in CI/CD and infrastructure automation.

Bonus:

  • Infrastructure experience for live-service or real-time workloads.
  • Work with data-intensive or high-throughput systems.
  • Applied AI-assisted or LLM-based engineering workflows.

This is a hybrid remote / in-office role, requiring some in-office presence in Vancouver.
