You will be at the heart of BlackRock's Aladdin, building the platform that drives ours and our client's investment and trading operations. Each day, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance applications, collaborating closely with traders, product managers, and fellow engineers to define requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
Your role will involve troubleshooting technical challenges, optimizing services and data pipelines, and continuously researching new technologies to enhance system performance. By mentoring junior engineers and contributing to our team culture, you'll help ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of mission-critical trading systems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
As a Full Stack Developer on our Aladdin Trading Engineering team, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services to support trading operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including traders, product managers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Implement and optimize high-performance APIs, microservices, and data processing pipelines.
- Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, deployment, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full stack with a focus on reliability and efficiency.
- Continuously research and adopt new technologies to improve team productivity and system performance.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a positive, innovative team culture.
