Job Summary: The ET Construction Coordinator exists to support Georgia Power's strategic objective of implementing the behind-the-meter electric transportation make-ready program as approved by the Georgia Public Service Commission.
This position will work closely with the Electric Transportation Project Coordinators to assist with electric transportation make ready project designs to ensure that all National Electric Code (NEC) and National Electric Safety Code (NESC) installations and maintenance repairs meet local code requirements and GPC specifications.
Responsibilities: Work with Electric Transportation Project Coordinators to facilitate a make ready design that meets all safety, NEC and NESC codes and all Southern Company specifications. Review all make ready estimates and project installation plan proposals from contractors to ensure all requirements for the scope of work and included. Conduct pre-construction job site visits to identify site conditions and conflicts that might impact the safe and timely installation of ET make ready facilities. Coordinate Pre-construction meetings with GPC and Customer representatives to communicate job site responsibilities and coordinate construction schedules.
Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in NEC system design, estimating, installation, and maintenance. Electrical License for the state of Georgia is required. Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and functions across the organization. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners. Highly organized and detailed-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously across internal and external stakeholders. Effective communication skills (written and verbal) and experience interacting with colleagues at various levels. Proficient in use of computer-based applications. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Strong organizational, analytical, project management and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze and interpret legal contracts, regulatory filings, and other documents. Ability to work effectively and efficiently within project timelines and budgets. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to grasp concepts and the changing technology of this job.
