Description
Anduril Industries is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing Test Engineering to join their Intelligence Systems team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the manufacturing test engineering team, setting objectives, guiding initiatives, and assessing team outcomes. You will also be responsible for architecting and overseeing the manufacturing test strategy for each product to ensure scalable operations across Anduril, transitioning from pre-production to full-scale output.

- Strategizing and implementing advancements in manufacturing testing, focusing on automation, uniformity, and operational streamlining.
- Evaluating test data, compiling findings, and identifying opportunities for product and process enhancements.
- Communicating strategic visions to key stakeholders, guiding the scaling of platforms from pre-production (LRIP) through to mass production (FRP).
- Collaborating with product development for design testability, ensuring seamless production integration.
- Leading the procurement and implementation of new test equipment, performing cost-benefit and ROI analyses as needed.
- Championing initiatives that enhance safety, reduce costs, improve quality, and increase productivity through testing.
- Cultivating a culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and accountability in the engineering department.
- Acting as the go-to technical authority for manufacturing test matters, advising on and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Designing proactive maintenance and calibration protocols for manufacturing test equipment.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience leading manufacturing test engineering.
- Expertise in Linux, C#, Python, and NixOS.
- Solid experience with PCBA/electronic assembly testing and knowledge of testing standards.
- Proficiency in using electronic test equipment.
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis of non-conforming hardware.
- Familiar with Product Life Cycle (PLM) systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Test Execution Systems (TES).
- Experience in managing projects that integrate electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the development of manufacturing test systems and teams.
- Proficiency in LabVIEW, MATLAB, and test automation.
- Knowledge of PCBA design, mechanical design, and ESS testing.
- Familiarity with various hardware communication protocols.
- Experience with HASS & ESS-related testing (Thermal, Vibration, etc.).
