Phlebotomist - Core Lab

Join our team as a Phlebotomist in the Core Lab at Johnston Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will perform phlebotomy procedures and patient point-of-care testing to support clinical activities.

Responsibilities:

• Consult with healthcare providers and patients regarding patient care as it relates to phlebotomy service issues
• Ensure quality and accuracy of work
• Investigate problems with equipment, patient results, specimens, and workflow
• Participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments
• Teach and train new employees, phlebotomy students, and other healthcare providers
• Review test results to ensure accuracy of reporting and timely correction of errors or report results to healthcare providers
• Perform phlebotomy procedures, quality control, and equipment maintenance in the appropriate laboratory
• Monitor daily operation of laboratory work area and ensure completion of daily work and assigned tasks

Requirements:

• One year of phlebotomy experience required, or
• Graduation from a phlebotomy program with no previous experience
• No licensure or certification required

Pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity. Salary range: $18.12 - $25.51 per hour (Hiring Range)
