Description
The Customs & Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day operations of trade compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures as it relates to the importation of vehicles, automotive parts, and merchandise shipments.
This role involves maintaining constant interface with suppliers, service providers, internal departments and field offices within the US, Canada and overseas regarding import/export activity. The analyst will support management by conducting risk assessment activities with Internal Control Process (ICS) for all Porsche North American entities.
Key responsibilities include providing support for the Customs Internal Control Process (ICS), establishing ICS for new in-scope Porsche companies, conducting post-entry audits, identifying and reporting potential trade compliance law violations, and maintaining proper record keeping according to Customs regulations.
The analyst will also facilitate and track ongoing and annual training for internal shared service partners, review weekly trade notices in the USA and Canada to monitor regulatory changes, and provide global support for trade compliance matters based on local and international regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field, and 2-5 years of experience in international trade, including strong connections with regulatory authorities. A Certified Customs Specialist or Customs broker license is preferred.
The salary range for this role is $75,000-$90,000, and the individual may be eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
