Electrician

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our Production team. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring proper operation of electrical systems, reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics, and installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment on vessels.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring proper operation of electrical systems by using tools, gauges, meters, and testing equipment
• Reading, interpreting, and following blueprints and sketches to understand the specifications of a project
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, one-lines, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
• Strong electrical aptitude and attention to detail
• Figuring material take-offs on drawings for required cut lengths
• Planning electrical system layout, installation, or repair per specifications
• Possessing a thorough understanding of AC or DC circuit operation and theory
• Reading manufacturer documentation to determine how to install and integrate engine electrical, control, and communication systems
• Understanding the function and install of marine electronics such as AIS, Radar, transponders, and transducers
• Can QC electrical schematics and effectively communicate issues to supervisor
• Basic understanding of proper wire and circuit protection sizing

• Will be required to work aloft (on scaffold or on manlifts) and in confined spaces.

On site training is provided.
