Description

As a Commercial Counsel at xAI, you'll support procurement efforts by negotiating high-value deals for software, SaaS, hardware, infrastructure, services, and anything else under the sun. Working closely with the Data Center and Procurement Lead, you'll tackle complex agreements, ensure compliance, and streamline processes in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, partnering with engineering, finance, and operations teams to align contracts with business needs, creating processes, templates, and playbooks for efficient and scalable contracting, and being extremely versatile and responsive to support the Legal department.

To succeed in this role, you'll need 5-10 years of legal experience, ideally through a combination of experience at innovative technology companies and/or excellent law firms, with a proven track record of negotiating complex deals for software, SaaS, hardware, data licenses, capital equipment, or AI-related technologies.

You'll also need to be tech-savvy with an understanding or keen interest in data centers and emerging technologies like AI, have a strong sense of ownership, be inquisitive and enthusiastic about technology, enjoy being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.

The base salary for this role is $225,000 - $285,000 USD, and you'll also receive a comprehensive total rewards package, including equity, comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short & long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and various other discounts and perks.
