Description
We are seeking a skilled Dev Fab Technician to join our team. As a Dev Fab Technician, you will work with fellow technicians and engineers to fabricate items using various techniques, such as welding, drilling, grinding, and sawing. You will perform quality checks on completed products, troubleshoot issues with the fabrication equipment, and follow OSHA safety guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in metal fabrication in an R&D environment, with a strong background in welding (GMAW/FCAW/GTAW) of steel, stainless, aluminum, and exotic alloys. You will also have experience with sheet metal fabrication, basic use of conventional machining equipment, and high-level mechanical aptitude.
In addition to your technical skills, you will be able to work through R&D tasks with limited oversight, evaluate, design, order materials, and execute. You will also have advanced mathematical and engineering skills, as well as advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.
