Be the backbone of recycling with Biffa as a Site Operative. You'll play a vital role in ensuring our recycling centre runs safely and efficiently. From assisting visitors to maintaining the site, your work will help create a cleaner, greener community.
Your core responsibilities include:
Supporting the day-to-day operations and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Assisting visitors in sorting and recycling waste effectively. Keeping the site clean, safe, and organized. Preventing commercial and non-compliant waste from entering the site. Promoting recycling by maximizing waste segregation wherever possible. Being part of a team making a tangible impact on the environment and the local community. Gaining hands-on experience working in a dynamic, outdoor environment. As a Site Operative, you'll work a variety of shifts, including summer and winter hours, and enjoy a competitive salary of £12.40 per hour.
