Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, Missilesat Anduril Industries, you will play a key role in shaping the manufacturing design for our Missile division. Your core responsibilities include ensuring the highest production quality and supporting the development and implementation of new products for several program designs.
The role encompasses the entire manufacturing value chain, including Design for Manufacturability, tool design and selection, process creation and optimisation, vendor sourcing and collaboration, quality planning, and documentation for hardware production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing the manufacturing of a certain product or set of products, from initial prototyping through large full-scale production.
- Working with design engineers during the development process to drive design for manufacturing best practices into the design effort, and help facilitate the transition from design to prototype to rate production.
- Owning documentation required for successfully manufacturing product group hardware at scale, such as MBOMs, work instructions & requirements, etc.
- Advising on quality management and business application programs as they pertain to manufacturing within your area.
- Collaborating with internal customers and manufacturing planning teams to define capacity planning actions to meet customer needs and expectations.
- Developing production and test methodologies and implementing best practices to enable scaling production capabilities for larger, more complex products.
- Travelling to suppliers and partner sites to do initial sourcing work, solve ongoing production issues, and implement process procedures as required.
Required qualifications include a degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science, and 3+ years in manufacturing or a similar prototyping position.
Preferred qualifications include experience with harness and PCBA fabrication, and hands-on experience with R/C and/or autonomous flight vehicles, flight controllers, or other related control systems.
