Pattern Prep Technician

Crosby Composites are seeking a Pattern Prep Technician to support the Melt Out Team Leader in the efficient running of the department. The successful candidate will meet job timescales and demands, whilst completing jobs to the highest of standards.

Key Accountabilities:

• Final preparation of various patterns, moulds and castings
• Using a variety of hand tools, small air tools and abrasive paper to a high standard
• Lone working
• Checking information on drawings is clear
• Checking route card instructions are correct
• Help develop processes to improve quality and efficiency
• Keep all equipment maintained
• Ensure the department is kept clean and tidy

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

• Ability to read engineering drawings would be an advantage but not essential
• Excellent attention to detail is essential
• Excellent accuracy level
• Constant awareness of health and safety
• Good verbal communication and listening skills
• Ability to listen to and follow instructions
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Used to working in a fast-moving environment
• Flexible
• Problem-solving skills

Hours of Work: The job holder will work 08.00 – 16.30, Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break. However, these hours may change from time to time as business needs dictate.
