At Scale, we're looking for talented Software Engineers to join our Public Sector team. As a Software Engineer, you will own the development of a vertical feature or a horizontal capability, including defining requirements with stakeholders and implementation until it is accepted by the stakeholders.
Design and implement scalable backend systems for Federal customers using cloud-native AI infrastructure.
Build features for agentic systems, including multi-layered guardrails and data retrieval optimization.
Develop data pipelines and machine learning infrastructure to make data sources accessible by agents.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute backend solutions for secure environments.
Participate in customer engagements to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Contribute to the platform roadmap and product strategy for the Federal business.

Compensation packages at Scale for eligible roles include base salary, equity, and benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position, determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, interview performance, and relevant education or training.
For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the locations of San Francisco, New York, Seattle is:\$180,000-\$225,000 USD
The base salary range for this full-time position in the locations of Hawaii, Washington DC, Texas, Colorado is:\$162,400-\$233,000 USD
The base salary range for this full-time position in the location of St. Louis is:\$135,200-\$194,000 USD
