Job Title: Composites Fitter
We are seeking a skilled Composites Fitter to join our team in Sheffield. As a Composites Fitter, you will be responsible for producing high-quality automotive parts using pre-preg composite materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality automotive parts using pre-preg composite materials
- Adhere to validated process cycle/TAKT times
- Maintain the highest quality standards on all manufactured composites components
- Support Team Leader with prioritizing work and other activities
- Contribute to training and development of other team members
- Ensure the work area is clean, tidy, and orderly, and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Proactively contribute to developing processes to improve quality and efficiency
- Set an example to production operatives
- Provide support on all processes in the department
Requirements:
- Previous background in composites manufacturing and the associated Assembly/Fitting processes is essential
- Pre-preg assembly/fitting experience, including hand trimming parts and experience using various hand tools, CNC/Robot operation, Bonding processes using various adhesives, etc.
- Thorough understanding of composite materials
- Experience and understanding of Quality issues
- Has developed proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job expertise
- Must demonstrate previous experience of using their own initiative and work under minimum supervision
- Ability to read and draw information from engineering drawings/manuals
- Have a good knowledge base of materials
