Description
We are looking for an Art Director who is passionate about 3D animation and has a strong understanding of art direction. The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with the local production team and have possibilities working with multiple studios and getting to know the latest gaming animation production procedures.
As Art Director, you will be responsible for understanding client's requirements and animation style of various projects, providing guidance for Animation production team, and responsible/answer to the client for the visual animation direction and QC of work. You will also be building rapport, trust, and clear lines of communication with clients, helping with estimation, team feedback and pipeline development, leading teams of animators by instruction and setting example, defining and communicating the key components of the animation project style and design, and collaborating with different 3D Art teams, coordinate resources and projects between multiple internal Chinese and external teams and studios.
Requirements:
- Passionate about games, proven 3+ years art leadership working experience as in either the game industry or related entertainment industry.
- Excellent Chinese and English (written and verbal) skills.
- Strong game animation production related work experience showcasing top quality work.
- Ability to work in multiple software packages and game engines (i.e. 3DS Max, Maya, Zbrush, Unreal, Unity).
- Expert understanding of industry standard techniques and tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with an understanding for the value of listening to as well as providing feedback, confidence to ask the right questions.
- Team Player, quick learner and self-motivated.
- Enthusiasm to expand knowledge in keeping with industry evolution.
