Description
We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Bristol, UK. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will work with the Lead and Senior Electrical Design Engineers to support the design, development, and delivery of electrical systems and control solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the creation of design specifications by interpreting design requirements and producing technical documentation, including schematics, schedules, and calculations. Provide technical and functional input at all stages from concept through to in-service support. Create and manage Bills of Materials for electrical hardware. Be present on-site for the integration and commissioning of electrical power and control systems. Ensure that engineering outputs meet quality and regulatory standards, including EN60204, ISO12100, EMC, EN13849, NFPA79, and UL508A. Support cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement activities. Support field installations, maintenance, upgrades, and modifications for new and in-service systems in the UK and globally.
Essential Qualifications: 2-3 years' experience in a relevant field of work. BSc, BEng, MSc, or MEng in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study. Experience with the specification of electrical control panels. Experience in using an electrical CAD software. Experience in using AutoCAD Electrical or Eplan (preferably). Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage various tasks simultaneously. Experience working with supply chain and quality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Hands-on experience to support fault finding and building activities when required.
