Description
This 6-month internship offers real-world projects, hands-on experience, and opportunities to collaborate with passionate teams globally. As a Python Backend & DevOps Software Engineering intern, you'll develop new features and enhance existing functionality in the SAF-SDK Python codebase, applying SOLID principles and clean code practices to produce maintainable and scalable code.
Your responsibilities will include participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and incorporating feedback from senior developers, writing unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and prevent regressions, documenting code, APIs, and architectural decisions, developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment, creating and maintaining reusable GitHub Actions workflows and composite actions, partnering with IT to maintain and improve DevOps infrastructure, and monitoring and troubleshooting pipeline failures to ensure reliable delivery.
To succeed in this role, you'll need to be currently pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, have a solid understanding of Python programming, familiarity with SOLID principles and software design patterns, experience with web frameworks, knowledge of microservices architecture concepts, proficiency with version control using Git, experience with containerization tools such as Docker, exposure to CI/CD pipelines, especially with GitHub Actions, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements, and openness to give and receive constructive feedback.
