Mobile Plant Operator

At Biffa, we're looking for a Mobile Plant Operator to join our team. As a Mobile Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and proper operation and maintenance of site vehicles, performing daily equipment checks, completing daily report forms, and operating with diligence and care to ensure Health and Safety parameters are strictly adhered to.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing daily equipment checks
• Completing daily report forms for all equipment used, including hours and service records
• Operating with diligence and care ensuring Health and Safety parameters are strictly adhered to
• Providing a control of the waste directly at the point of unloading
• Cleaning of the working area in and out of cab
• Informing the Manager about all accidents and non-compliant waste

Requirements include:

• Experience of working in either a Waste Management, Warehousing or Construction environment
• Mechanical knowledge
• Mobile plant operation and maintenance
• Previous experience in operating wheeled loading shovel and 360 material handler
• Full Driving Licence
• Attitude for compliance and good attention to detail
• Robust, resilient, able to absorb pressure and respond positively
