Description
As our Senior Radiation Effects Engineer, you will be responsible for characterizing radiation environments for our missions and testing analysis for our spacecraft. This position requires hands-on experience validating parts for radiation environments specific to aerospace.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing fault-tolerant electrical systems for operating in a radiation environment
- Simulating and modeling the GTO and GEO radiation environments
- Coordinating and running radiation testing campaigns to upscreen components
- Working with the structures team to determine the proper shielding levels across the spacecraft
- Integrating these systems into the spacecraft by working closely with the rest of the team
- Supporting other electrical design, bringup, and test activities
- Assisting in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly-growing team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or equivalent technical field
- A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
- Experience with the Geostationary radiation environment (TID, SEE, DDD)
- Experience with designing for and testing for radiation effects
- Experience in testing analog and digital circuits
- Experience with high reliability systems
- US Citizenship or Green Card

- ECAD + MCAD Experience (Altium, Solidworks)
